Nation of Tor’glen

Grand Duke Thuron Dalton, showing off his pyromancy.

Tor’glen was a Nation that always prided itself on its magical might, where Tor’glen’s finest Casters and Catalysts resided, resulting in the nation having a boastful mage army.

Having such a plentiful supply of casters enabled Tor’glen in the research of Runic Wards, which, when applied by a skilled mage, created a lock, shield, or protection from the inscribed rune upon it.

Such luck transpired when the Stillwall rose and the Great Stillstorm began, as research and deployment had already inscribed the city walls with a Ward against the Stillstorm, giving them precious time to prepare and shelter the remaining years of the storm before the Ward eventually shattered.

But said luck did not come without consequences, as the superstitious Tor’glennians turned on the remaining skilled Warders, claiming they were the cause of such storm and the cursed Stillwall.

Research was burned, the casters culled out of rage and fear.

It was a dark time for Tor’glen, until about 100 years later, Victor Dalton reclaimed the Nation from a twisted noble, with it he founded the Tor’glen Academy, rebirthing the celebration of magic and forward progress.

Even though magic thrives once again within Tor’glen, the accumulation of research and study has been long lost over the destruction, time, and storm damage, bringing Ward magic back to its infantile stages.

Any surviving material from the Old World is considered priceless… unless you are a Tor’glennian Noble of High Society, in which they simply display Old World Relics upon their mantlepieces as a show of wealth.
