Backstory: The eldest of the Dalton Brothers, Horace’s fall from the inheritance and title of Grand Duke of Tor’glen was both tragic and literal.

While exploring in a long-forgotten section of the family estate, Horace plummeted through an old elevator shaft shattering his hips and paralyzing him.

His father summoned every healer in the kingdom, and even those of the Nation of Zelvia, but all agreed he would never walk again. Stricken with grief, the Grand Duke stripped Horace of all title and inheritance of a first born, granting them to his younger brother and prodigal fire caster, Thuron Dalton.

Not one to resign himself to obscurity, Horace studied his life away in the pursuit of the alchemical arts, and through sheer perseverance eventually developed a treatment that would allow him to walk, albeit with some difficulty, again.
