The Dead Coasts

The Dead Coasts used to host smaller Nations and richer Houses who all lived in harmony of one another, depending on the imports of the surrounding nations to balance their limited resources.

When the Stillwall first went up, it caused an absolutely devastating Stillstorm that lasted for years upon years seemingly unending.

The resources and stocks only lasted for so long, eventually running out. Horrible acts and sad tragedies played out over the course of the storm, as the remnants clawed for survival, even risking exposure to the storm just to find food and clean water.

When the storm cleared, bustling towns and proud Houses now held ghostly halls and an eerie silence that crept over the islands.

The foreign opportunists picked the old fortifications clean, selling the surviving relics to anyone that found interest in them.

What many found a common item when the storms cleared, soon found the magical items in short supply, no longer able to be created with their limited resources, knowledge, and crumbling machinery.

Sea Captains soon learned to be weary of The Dead Coasts, because if their ship was caught in a Stillstorm, the raging waves could easily crash them upon the Dead Coasts rocks and shores, killing or stranding them.

Some have taken advantage of the desolate and dangerous shores - Piracy, black market trades, and bandits have sprung up, turning the old castles and estates into bases of operations.
